Project & Structured Finance (PSF):

Project & Structured Finance team provides advisory and debt arrangement services for structuring and financing of long-term greenfield and brownfield projects on non-recourse or limited recourse basis. The PSF team offers advisory, structuring, execution and monitoring services for projects of national and strategic significance.

FBL has played a momentous role in Pakistan’s power sector by facilitating the augmentation in the generation capacity through various power projects. FBL’s PSF team boasts a diverse experience in advising and structuring a broad range of clients/transactions, including but not limited to, the power (generation and distribution) sector, port and road infrastructure projects financing.

Syndications & Debt Capital Markets (DCM):

The Syndications & Debt Capital Markets team offers a variety of highly customized products to a diverse set of customers as per their needs. These requirements may include medium to long-term financing for capital expenditure, capacity expansion and mergers & acquisitions. The DCM team boasts its expertise in offering a wide range of listed and unlisted debt instruments including but not limited to TFCs, Commercial Paper and Sukuks.

FBL’s DCM team also enables credit risk distribution with other financial institutions through syndicated financing arrangements along with speedy access to local and offshore debt capital markets. The mandate of the DCM team also includes structuring and meeting the financing requirements of brownfield projects in diverse industries on a full recourse basis.

Equity & Advisory (E&A):

Our E&A desk provides sell-side and buy-side advisory on merger & acquisition (M&A) transactions, facilitates in business valuations & price discovery along with providing access to equity capital markets. FBL’s E&A services include:

• Advisory Services: The role of E&A team encompasses a wide range of advisory services for restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, right issues and listing. Moreover, the team also facilitates building of financial models on request and conducts business valuation based on financial models and feasibility studies.
• Underwriting Services: Our E&A team provides underwriting services for initial public offerings (IPOs), right shares etc. for assisting the development of equity markets in Pakistan. Moreover, FBL has also acted in its capacity as the Bankers to the Issue (BTI) for various transactions.
