Now you can shop online on your favorite web stores for any special offer, without any worries of being hacked online.

What is Verified by Visa (VbV)?

Verified by Visa (VBV) is an additional feature offered by Visa that makes it even safer for the users to shop online. You simply need to add a password to the Visa card you are currently using to ensure that only you can use your Visa card to make purchases online.

It is a 3D secured verification process which has added protection against unauthorized use of your Faysal Bank Barkat Debit Card when you shop online at any Visa Debit Card participating merchant.

How does Verified by Visa (VbV) work?

Once you have enrolled for your 3D secured password, each time you make an online purchase, a pop-up box will appear automatically asking for your Secure Code. When you correctly enter your Secure Code, you confirm being the authorized cardholder and your purchase will only then be completed, where the merchant is also a 3-D Secure. However, if a merchant is not 3-D Secure and any fraud occurs, the liability will be shifted from issuer to acquirer. It is as simple as entering your PIN at the ATM. If the correct code is not entered, your purchase will be declined.

How can I enroll for Verified by Visa (VbV)?

There are 3 simple ways you may choose to enroll:

Visit the Faysal Bank website:

You may visit our website at urdudemo.faysalbank.com/barkat and click on “Register Now” under Verified by Visa (VbV) section on Barkat Debit Card webpage. Once clicked; you will be directed to the Visa Debit card – Verified by Visa (VbV) enrollment website. At the website, you will be required to verify your identity by answering a series of security questions leading to your personal 3D secured code to be emailed.

Enroll while shopping online:

If you have not already created your Secure Code and are shopping online at a participating merchant, before you “Check-out” and submit your account number, a window will be displayed which will walk you through the enrollment process.

Enroll through Customer Interaction Centre:

You may also call our Customer Interaction Centre at 111 06 06 06 and 111 11 71 71 where our Phone Banking Officers upon your request will issue you a Temporary Access Code. You may then use this code to access the Visa Debit card- Verified by Visa (VbV) enrollment website and create your personal Secure Code.
