Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) is the amount of money kept by the customer on call i.e. the customer may come to the bank anytime asking for the withdrawal of the money. This facility allows customer to keep funds on call and in favour of institutions (private, governmental, semi-governmental, Autonomous bodies/ State owned enterprise & listed companies).

The Funds credited in Barkat CDR, are treated as “Qard”.

• No profit shall be paid on CDR
• No Zakat and withholding tax
• There is no fixed tenor
• The amount of CDR can be withdrawn anytime
• The receipt is a non-negotiable item
