Syed Tahir Rizavi is a senior professional with nearly 18 years of experience with leading global and regional banks across diverse functional areas including Strategy, Advanced Analytics, Digital Transformation, Customer Experience, Product Management, Marketing and Corporate Finance.

Currently, Mr. Tahir is leading Faysal Bank’s Innovation function which encompasses Strategy, Advanced Analytics, Customer Experience and New Initiatives. Prior to this, Tahir headed multiple business units where he was responsible for P&L, Portfolio Management, Product Management as well as Marketing across conventional and digital channels.

In addition to these strategic roles, Tahir also has over 8 years of Corporate Finance and Investment Banking experience with leading banks including Citibank, Dubai Islamic Bank and SAMBA Bank where he led client acquisition, fund raising, structuring and cradle to grave transaction execution.

Furthermore, his experience with mature organizations is augmented by his association with two startup organizations where, as part of the initial team, he worked on building new business and customer portfolios.

Mr. Tahir has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and has done his MBA from INSEAD.
